Equipping a Fuji camera with fairly expensive XF premium status lenses right off the bat is a very costly business. With a limited low-cost for the purchase, it is worth taking a closer look at the junior league of optics from the Japanese manufacturer of photographic equipment, which is marked with XC symbols. A series of these lenses is addressed to owners of Fuji cropped mirrorless cameras of the initial and middle segment.

The materials used to manufacture Fuji XC lenses are dominated by plastic elements, while metal is a weak point — the bayonet mount. At the same time, they are quite well made, compact in size and light in weight. Zoom lenses from the low-cost line have a low “floating” aperture, which is compensated by the presence of an OIS optical image stabilization system on board.

Fuji XC is a junior line of optics for cropped mirrorless cameras.

Unlike the older XF series, the base Fuji lenses do not have a separate aperture control ring. They are preferred, first of all, for affordable pricing. The family itself is not numerous: it literally consists of one multi-purpose prime (35 mm) and a couple of universal zoom lenses covering a popular set of focal lengths.
