This cable entry is somewhat less convenient than one-way, since the wire is more prone to tangling; however, it is also quite popular. First, the reversible design is actually the only ear option available that doesn't have a headband, headband, or neck mount. Secondly, the separation of wires reduces their influence on each other and reduces the likelihood of interference; thus, this option is considered optimal for high-end hi-fi and hi-end headphones.
