Gaming keyboards with mechanical switches have gone from "don't buy this" to "wow, almost like Razer" over the past 5 years. An important role in this was played by the cooperation of local brands with Chinese OEMs, who together were able to make mechanical keyboards more affordable, while not losing much in quality. One of these companies was the Ukrainian manufacturer with its line of inexpensive and upgraded Rockfall keyboards.

There are 3 wired keyboards released in the series: Rockfall EVO, Rockfall EVO TKL and Rockfall TKL Mecha. The first 2 were released in 2020, the third in 2023. The 2020 models feature opto-mechanical switches (linear Kailh Black) with high key travel and an impressive 80 million keystroke life, controlled RGB LED backlighting, and anti-ghosting support with N-KRO. The usual Rockfall EVO has a digital block on the right, while the Rockfall EVO TKL has it cut off to the very arrows. Both support hot swapping of keycaps and switches. What is especially cool is that they have individual backlighting of the keys, like more expensive and status mechanics.

Perhaps the most interesting option in this series is the 2023 model Rockfall TKL Mecha, which has been praised by more than one YouTuber. And this is not surprising, because before us is a mechanical keyboard of the class "has almost everything" worth $50. And this is just a little more expensive than a conventional membrane model from the same Hator or A4Tech. And now we consider what is cool about this option: a convenient Skeleton case, double-cast double keycaps made of durable PBT plastic, laser engraved characters (note: there is a Ukrainian layout), stabilizers of large keys are pre-lubricated, so they do not rattle during fast printing, at the base a metal plate is mounted, the cable is protected by a braid, Anti-Ghosting and N-KRO are supported. And instead of conventional mechanical switches, Hator Premium switches are used (note: clicking Green or linear Pink) with an increased resource to failure up to 80 million.
