A family of classic mid-range LED TVs from the "Performance" sub-series. TV panels from this series belong to the middle price segment, demonstrate decent image quality, are equipped with good stereo speakers, support all the current Android TV smart functions, including voice control, etc. Unlike the panels from the 8 series 2020 and 2021 releases, Philips 8 2022 TVs have acquired several important features for owners of the new generation of game consoles. In particular, they have support for the HDMI 2.1 interface, capable of broadcasting a picture in 4K with HDR enabled and an increased refresh rate.

Philips 8 2022 TVs are based on 4K UHD LED panels with a diagonal of 43 to 65 inches. Such a screen is capable of displaying a 30-bit color palette, displaying an image with a fixed refresh rate of 60 Hz, and also correctly displaying video content with a high dynamic range (HDR10+, Dolby Vision). The proprietary Philips P5 Perfect Picture processor is responsible for autofinishing colors, contrast and brightness of the image. He also knows how to artificially increase the original size of the video and change its key characteristics so that the resulting picture meets the requirements of HDR10 + and Dolby Vision formats.

Given that the TV is one of the centerpieces of the room, Phillips designers have tried to keep the thickness of the cabinet and side bezels to a minimum, while also adding signature Ambilight backlighting. With multiple LEDs on the back, Philips 8 2022 TVs are able to project colors from the screen onto the wall behind the TV. Thus, the immersion effect is enhanced, and the TV seems larger than it really is. It is worth noting that Philips is constantly adding new lighting modes, adapting it for listening to music, games and idle mode.
