Thanks to a fairly wide range of speed adjustment, the Einhell Expert Plus CE-CP 18/180 Li E Solo can equally perform the functions of a polishing or grinding tool. Using the "+" and "-" buttons, the user can select one of seven speed modes: 500, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 or 3000 rpm (the selected value is displayed on the LCD next to the buttons). High speeds allow you to quickly and efficiently perform work on fine grinding of wood or primed metal in the preparation of surfaces for painting. And at low speeds it is good to polish the car body without fear of burning the paintwork.

Although it is not customary to expect too much from household tools like Einhell, this polisher pleases with its quality. It is well assembled, and all parts fit tightly, without backlash and gaps. The "heart" of the tool is a modern brushless motor. As you know, motors of this type have a lot of advantages : light weight and compact dimensions, economical battery consumption and high reliability (in this case, the manufacturer gives a 10-year warranty on the motor, subject to registration on the Einhell website after purchase). The tool turned out to be quite light (only 1.42 kg), so the hands do not get tired during operation. In addition, it is equipped with a front adjustable handle, which can be set "under itself", choosing the most comfortable position. And the disadvantages include the absence of a battery and charger in the kit, they need to be bought separately. When choosing a battery for the Einhell Expert Plus CE-CP 18/180 Li E Solo, keep in mind that a 2.5 Ah battery will provide up to 25 minutes of operation, a 4 Ah power supply will provide up to 43 minutes, and a 6 Ah battery will provide up to 65 minutes (note that the autonomy time always depends on the engine speed and the load on the tool).

Inexpensive "amateur" polishers, like the Einhell Expert Plus CE-CP 18/180 Li E Solo, are hardly worth buying for work in a professional auto repair shop. But for those who work in their garage or near the house, they are just right. With the help of such a tool, you can, for example, polish the car yourself with your own hands and save a lot of money (after all, the prices for such services at service stations are very “bite painfully”). And for other tasks, such as restoring furniture or minor repairs in the house, such a technique can also come in handy.

Price, rotational movement combined with eccentric, brushless motor, soft start, additional handle, case.
No low revs, noisy.

The Yato YT-82920 polisher is equipped with a modern brushless motor with soft start and motor overheat protection function. It can work with medium sized grinding wheels and polishing tips up to 150mm in diameter. Due to the presence of an eccentric in the drive mechanism, during operation, the support plate not only rotates (at a speed of up to 5000 rpm), but also makes eccentric movements (with an amplitude of 16 mm and a stroke rate of up to 10,000 rpm). The speed of rotation and the frequency of strokes of the nozzle proportional to it can be adjusted using a 6-position wheel on the body. But it should be noted that the lower speed limit is quite high - 1500 rpm. At this speed, it is difficult to work with liquid body polishes, because they are abundantly sprayed to the sides.

Ergonomics of the tool is good (in this regard, we did not like only quite noisy work, forcing us to use headphones or plugs). The metal gearbox, which heats up during operation, is completely covered with a plastic overlay that acts as a front handle. The kit also has an additional side handle(like grinders). It can be installed on the left or right - it is much more convenient to work with it when sanding surfaces with complex relief. In addition to the handle, the kit includes a case for the tool and three polishing nozzles of different hardness: soft (black), medium (yellow) and hard (green). The tool also comes with a charger and a 3 Ah battery. The same 18-volt battery can be used with other Yato cordless tools: screwdrivers, saws or grinders of all kinds.

By the standards of cordless polishers, the Yato YT-82920 is considered an inexpensive tool (which is not surprising, because Yato products are amateur-class equipment, not professional ones). Therefore, even those craftsmen and car owners who are not ready to invest in expensive professional tools can afford to buy a battery-powered car polisher for car body polishing in the garage or for use in the home carpentry workshop. And if your “front of work” is not very wide, and you can do without a full-size tool, then it makes sense to take a closer look at the Yato YT-82903 compact polishing machine (made in the form factor of a screwdriver) - it costs about half as much.

Brushless motor, soft start, additional handle.
Without battery and charger.

DeWALT DCM849N is a polisher for professional use. Painted in signature DeWALT yellow and lavishly covered in rubber, the brushless motor hides under the chassis. It economically consumes the energy “stored” in the battery, tolerates heavy loads well and is more reliable than traditional electric motors. The holes through which air enters the motor are closed with replaceable filters. They are needed in order to trap wool particles from polishing nozzles or fine dust that appears during sanding and polishing varnish and paint. Such a simple yet highly effective solution should ensure a long tool life even under heavy use in the workshop or in production.

The specifications indicate that the DeWALT DCM849N has a speed control in the range of 800 - 2200 rpm. This issue needs to be clarified. The indicated figures correspond to the maximum revolutions (with the start key pressed all the way) at the first and last positions of the regulator. But at the same time, the speed of rotation of the nozzle can be controlled by controlling the force of pressing the key. That is, by setting the switch to the first position and lightly pressing the start button with your finger, you can achieve a much lower speed of rotation of the polishing pad than 800 rpm. Why is this needed? At low speed, for example, it is convenient to smear polish or mastic so that the substance does not splatter in all directions. And after applying the chemistry, it is already possible, by setting the required speed and pressing the key all the way, to proceed to polishing with wide sweeping movements. For comfortable work, the tool is equipped with an additional side handle (screwed into the gearbox housing on the left or right). To ensure gentle surface treatment, the machine is equipped with a "soft start" function.

In this configuration, the tool comes in the form of a "carcass" - that is, without a battery and charger. If you want to buy everything at once so that you can start working without delay, then you should pay attention to the DeWALT DCM849P2 - the same polishing machine, but complete with two high-capacity batteries (5 Ah each), charging for them and a branded plastic case .

Rotary movement combined with eccentric, forced and free rotation modes of the plate, finishing polishing mode, brushless motor, soft start, speed maintenance.
Without battery and charger, heavy weight.

The Makita DPO600Z with a 150 mm soleplate is a professional tool designed exclusively for polishing. The nozzle rotation speed in none of the modes (which will be discussed below) does not exceed 780 rpm. Therefore, the main function of this machine is the polishing of paintwork on car bodies or other surfaces that require extremely delicate and careful handling. The tool is equipped with a brushless motor with a full package of related functions: "soft start", protection against overheating and prevention of accidental activation.

The most interesting part of this machine is the nozzle drive mechanism, which ensures the rotation of the sole (at different speeds and in different modes) with simultaneous eccentric movements (stroke amplitude 5.5 mm). On the left side of the gearbox housing there is a switch with which you can select one of the eccentric stroke modes: forced or free. The first of them is better suited for more or less rough grinding, and the second for fine. In addition, there is a button on the top of the body that allows you to switch between the "normal" mode of operation and the "finish" mode, designed for fine polishing without applying force to the tool. Next to this button is a 5-position speed control wheel. With it, you can control the speed of rotation of the nozzle (from 180 to 780 rpm in the "normal" mode and from 180 to 600 rpm - in the "finish"). With any selected settings and modes, a constant rotation speed is maintained automatically, regardless of the load on the machine. Thanks to the presence of all the above settings and functions, using the Makita DPO600Z, you can achieve exceptionally high-quality and gentle processing of delicate surfaces that are “sensitive” to the polishing mode.

It should be noted that this machine is a rather heavy tool. It weighs 2.72 kg without the weight of the battery. Actually, the battery itself is not included. It, like a charger or a storage box for the device, must be purchased separately (all of the above, by the way, is already included in the package of another version of the same tool - the Makita DPO600RTE machine).

The original system for changing the type of rotation of the nozzle using interchangeable adapters (rotary and two eccentric), light weight, brushless motor, soft start, speed maintenance, two batteries and three support plates included, case.
Not detected.

When developing the Flex PXE 80, the engineers at FLEX(the legendary company that produced the world's first angle grinder in 1954) set themselves the task of creating a universal tool that could be used to perform a variety of small tasks related to the repair and restoration of automotive bodies and interiors. What happened in the end? And it turned out to be compact and light (only 890 g without taking into account the weight of the battery), a battery machine that works with virtually no noise and vibration, with a reliable brushless motor, “smart” electronics and an original “settings” system for different types of work using removable adapters and attachments.

The machine is equipped with a "soft start" function and a 4-position push-button regulator that allows you to adjust the speed of rotation of the nozzle in the range of 400 - 5800 rpm. The first three positions of the regulator are for polishing, and the last (highest speed) is for spot grinding. At any selected speed mode, the revolutions are maintained electronically at a given level, regardless of the load on the tool. There are three adapters included. One of them (rotary) provides rotational movement of the nozzle (without eccentricity). It is intended for grinding only. The other two adapters have eccentric mechanisms. The stroke amplitude of the first is 12 mm (for polishing), and the second is 3 mm (for grinding and polishing). The adapters are mounted in the spindle using the "insert-and-snap" principle. That is, they are removed and installed literally in a second manually, without the use of auxiliary tools.

By the presence of the word Set in the full name of the Flex PXE 80 10.8-EC / 2.5 Set machine, it is clear that it is a whole set that consists of a tool and compatible accessories necessary for work. In addition to the adapters described above, the kit includes three support plates (one ⌀75 mm and two pieces ⌀35 mm), a charger and two 2.5 Ah batteries (each battery provides approximately 20 minutes of non-stop operation). The machine also comes with a large and high-quality case (licensed copy of Bosch L-BOXX 136) for storing the tool with all accessories.
